Reproductive Justice and Gender-Based Violence 

Attendees will enhance their understanding of reproductive justice, particularly how it intersects with gender-based violence, most especially since the Dobbs decision. They will learn about local resources and the pathways that anti-violence workers and individuals can pursue to promote reproductive justice and options for survivors.

This session will cover the following topics:

  • Defining reproductive justice-
  • Explore gender-based violence and its impact on maternal outcomes-
  • Developing safety plans for reproductive health and related issues.
Tanesha Gunn is a certified labor doula, childbirth educator, lactation consultant, and placenta encapsulation specialist, dedicated to empowering families since 2012. With advanced training in early child development and a degree in Arts, I offer expertise and compassion to birthing individuals and their partners during this transformative experience. My journey into this field started unexpectedly—in finance—when supporting a close friend during her pregnancy. Her clinical birth experience inspired me to become the trusted, consistent presence that families deserve, ensuring every moment feels personal and cherished.
