LGBTQIA+ Peer Support Group

The LGBTQIA+ peer support group offers a welcoming and confidential environment for individuals to share their personal and professional experiences of identifying as LGBTQIA+ while working in today’s climate. We will discuss challenges, celebrate successes, and connect during our time together. This group aims to provide support, share stories, and foster a sense of community within the anti-violence movement.
Facilitator: Rudy Vecchia-Zeitz (they/he) is a Prevention Educator and the coordinator of the Our Music My Body program at Resilience. Rudy is a trans-nonbinary activist who began working in anti-violence spaces in 2015. He is originally from the East Coast but moved to Chicago in 2022 to earn his MSW from the University of Chicago. Rudy is a 60-hour certified sexual assault survivor advocate.
This is a virtual support group.
