This training is a foundations level training for direct support staff based at community/nonprofit service providers who assist survivors. This training will lay the groundwork for a deeper understanding of the intersection of firearms and domestic violence. In this training, participants can be expected to come away with an understanding of Illinois firearm related laws, the gap in systems leading up to the passage of Karina's law and a foundation level understanding of the process of obtaining firearms relief as part of an order of protection in Karina's law.
This is part one of our three part Karina's Law training series. The zoom link will be sent out in advance.
