Domestic Violence 101 - For Chicago Alderpeople and staff

The Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence invites Chicago Alderpeople and their staff to an hour-long virtual training led by our Policy, Advocacy, and Research team. This session will explain what domestic violence is and highlight its far-reaching impacts on constituents—such as housing instability, increased demands on public safety systems, lost workplace productivity, higher healthcare costs, and long-term effects on children and families. We will also share The Network’s FY2026 city budget priorities for the city of Chicago and discuss how city leadership can help strengthen prevention efforts, improve survivor services, and reduce the social and economic costs of abuse in our communities.
