2026 Housing Training Series - for Members and Rapid Rehousing Partners
Gender-based violence is a leading cause of housing instability. Understanding the various barriers survivors face can better equip housing advocates as they help survivors find and maintain safe housing. Please join us throughout 2026 for a series of trainings for our membership and our rapid rehousing partners. We have selected topics that housing advocates, attorneys, and support systems often encounter when supporting a survivor in housing, and we plan to cover each of them in a one hour lunch and learn where you will take away a better understanding of how the unique issue impacts a survivor's housing stability. Each training is independent of the others, so you are welcome to join us for some or all of the sessions - prior participation in an earlier training in the series is not required. Some sessions will be hosted in English and Spanish to make the series more accessible. We look forward to seeing you throughout the year! Social Work CEUs are available for these trainings. Please be sure to indicate clearly in your registration and in your evaluation if you are seeking CEUs. Please note - The Network will issue certificates for trainings up until only a month after the training. We will not be able to respond to requests for certificates for trainings that were done beyond that time period.

In this session we will review Illinois' new coerced debt protections for survivors and how to put these legal protections into action.
